Entrepreneur Brendan McIlveen established BEEMAC in May 2011 and his business has been growing rapidly. With over 18 years plumbing experience Brendan is providing a professional service to local people offering plumbing, gas and oil installation and servicing.
Brendan took the step into self employment because of a lack of employment opportunities. He knew he could offer a high quality, efficient service and had many contacts built up over the years. The market looked positive due to the amount of work available and his experience is an asset to the business as he understands his customers well.
Brendan completed the GO for it programme at North City Business Centre which involved attending a number of training courses. “The market research module was very helpful to find out about other competitors and customers wants and needs. I also enjoyed the finance module as this gave me insight into business finances associated to self employment.” Brendan has been able to benefit from mentoring in areas such as web design and marketing which was very helpful in the initial stages of setting up his business.
BEEMAC has recently been installing new gas boilers and upgrading and installing bathroom suites, with all work being undertaken: tiling, electrical and joinery etc. Brendan also offers domestic plumbing; maintaining and fixing any plumbing issues. He prides himself on the high standard of finished work and understanding all round building work ensures his work is of a high standard. All work is carried out by approved and registered installers providing a sense of trust and reliability.
BEEMAC differentiates itself from other plumbers as Brendan has many years experience overseas in areas such as America, giving him a variety of experience and a wealth of knowledge. The future looks positive for Brendan as he expands his business. His aim is to be a small well focused and reliable company.
