The programme aims to improve companies’ financial competence and to help participants with the skills to approach and meet the requirements of external funders.
The programme will start in June 2011 and includes:
- Financial Assessment: At the beginning of the programme you will be given a financial health check to determine your businesses current financial position and to identify any areas for improvements.
- Financial Management Workshops: The programme will deliver five workshops focussed upon financial management for small businesses.
- Meet the Funders Day: You will be given the opportunity to meet with a range of financial institutions and external funders.
- Individual Financial Mentoring: You’ll be allocated a mentor who will assist you to improve the areas of need identified through your financial assessment.
- Two-year Financial Action Plan: Your mentor will work with you to help develop a two-year plan of action for your company to manage your businesses growth.
Who should participate?
We’ll be recruiting 15 participants to participate on the programme.To be eligible you must be a small business or social enterprises based in the Belfast City Council area with less than 20 employees.
All participates must display the ability and willingness to grow their business and be currently ineligible for Invest NI support.
Please note that Invest Northern Ireland client companies and retail businesses may not be eligible for this programme.
How much does it cost?
Belfast City Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) are investing heavily in this programme to support participating businesses maximize growth opportunities. The cost is only £100 + VAT (per participating business).
Interested businesses will be selected through a competitive recruitment process.
